Recently I visited Murobond HQ to attend a long table discussion on their favourite Murobond Whites following the release of Karen McCartney's new book 'White Rooms'. We were hosted by Rowena in the studio of Jo Neville of Paper Couture (more about Jo coming in another blog). What an amazing space! We were surrounded by her installation of white paint on paper which was used for the book launch along with lots of Jo's beautiful and clever paper art creations. I tell you, it was worth the trip just for the atmosphere and morning tea! Any how I have always loved the use of white for interiors but at the same time thought it a little on the 'lazy' side - how wrong I was.
Karen McCartney talked us through the concept of her book and the use of white paint in our homes. It was a real insight into how white provides a complimentary backdrop to a variety of interiors and how Murobond whites have the depth of colour to truly make your home sing.
We all agreed that there is no singular white that suits any home as we live in houses that have such varying architecture, locations, layouts and light sources.
Below are the Murobond whites that Karen and Rowena have pulled together to form the 'Compass Whites' Range...
PS It was a brilliant opportunity to grab a copy of her new book co-written with David.... and get it signed :-) for Tonya who was in the UK at the time!
