A little bit of nature never hurt nobody...

Mother Nature is one clever lady, her exquisite blooms lend elegance and softness to the harshest of rooms as you can see above.  The contrast of white on black is striking but at the same time quite lush and gives this image depth and contrast. In the room below the billowing, feathery foliage provides texture and interest as well as some lovely colour to this space.  It fills a gap between wall sconce, table and chair.

Just a little bit of green adds another accent colour that stops the room below from being boring and dull.  The flower spikes add some more height and texture.

Even the kitchen benefits from just a dash of green, it makes it feel fresh, clean and alive.  The horizontal shelf of glasses deflects light and is a gentle contrast against the dark walls.

In this dining room the additition of lots of timber (firewood, platters, table and chair legs) provides a neutral colour injection while the potted plant again softens what could be a harsh space without it.

And you could always introduce a little floral motif via your fabrics if you don't have a green thumb (of course fake plants are so realistic these days you could always grab one - try Florabelle's range for a stunning indoor addition).

Enjoy your dark rooms and remember, a little nature never hurt no body...
